	Bi Uret Test
	3ml. of Sodium hydroxide soln.was added to 3 ml of supplied soln. & 2 drops of 1% CuSO4 reagent was added to it.	No Change	Absense of Proteins.
	Molisch’s Test
	2ml of sample solution is taken with 2 drops of 5% α-napthol or Thymol solution. Carefully inclined the tube & poured conc.H2SO4 drop wise, using a dropper, along sides of the tube.	Violet colour appeared at the junction of two liquids.	Presence of carbohydrate is confirmed.
	Iodine Test: (Indicator Test)
	2 drops of dilute Iodine reagent was added to 3 ml of supplied solution.	A deep blue coloration appeared	Presence of Starch is confirmed.
